Saturday Night Fever...

And Friday...This weekend we had our worst fevers yet! Holden woke up with a fever on Friday morning, which was easily controlled by Tylenol, but came back every 3-4 hours...and he seemed fine, played with MJ (so sorry Beth, I didn't know hopefully you can avoid it!). He has had fevers due to teething often so I really didn't think it was a big deal...But Friday night he went down hill...in fact he wanted to go into the bath at 5pm and was TOTALLY ready for bed at 6:30! He woke up at 10pm screaming and hot...he was so restless it took a couple of hours to get him cooled down and back to sleep...

he slept OK then waking at his usual 7am...BUT he was so listless just wanting to be held and wanting SO DESPERATELY to be outside...We took him for a walk, and while outside he seemed fine...but he would just tire so easily and was clearly not himself...Saturday we had a harder time controlling the fever...and we spent most of our time outside...Tom and I had a wedding to go to so thankfully Grandmere and Grandpere came and took care of our sick boy...They definitely noticed he was out of sorts...He had trouble going to sleep and then woke up an hour later...but then he slept 8 hours and Wake at 4am...then it was restlessness and heat again...poor guy...BUT Sunday morning his fever broke! Yay! Felt so good to feel his skin and not feel heat...he still isn't totally back to normal...especially with his eating, but he is definitely on the mend...

This am he awoke at 5:45...yikes! and at 9am he was ready for a nap...But he is playing and happy most of the time! I hate it when my baby is sick!

Oh and for those of you that can't stand it...I didn't take his temp on Friday...and Sat I only took it once and his temp was 101.6...other than that I just know he felt hot...

This was our weekend...We were supposed to go here with them but we had to keep Holden well...hopefully they will blog about their fun!

I hate it when my baby is sick, too. :( Infant ibuprofen works really well on fevers--just in case there is a next time!
