So Baby A surprised us 6 weeks early on Holden's birthday...We had all gone out to dinner and a little after 10pm Josh called us to say they were headed to the hospital because Beth's water broke...Tom was very worried about his sister and her babe...We stayed by the phone, and at 2am on Sunday Tom's mom called to say that they had had a baby girl...she was tiny...4 lbs 10 oz...Good size for her weeks but still...taken right to the NICU...but Pam had no other info...OK try sleeping then...we got up the next morning and headed to the hospital...

MJ was in big sister mode, loved seeing her little sister, and she had her tiny baby doll which she used to reenact the water breaking and "baby popping out" (which she of course didn't witness) and then told everyone her baby came to early and needed extra care...she was quite the entertainment to all the staff...

Above is Tom's hand and Baby A's tiny foot...

The nurses were wonderful helping us set up an area to take pics, and manhandling baby A because we were too nervous to do it:-) Seriously Tom and I always comment on how when you have a baby and see how the nurses/Doctors, handle them you realize...yes they are fragile but not as much as we think...
the nurses also helped with hiding the tubes/wires...she had a feeding tube, and of course all the monitors...but she was breathing on her own from the begining with only a little gas mixing help needed...thank goodness...
