Some of the sweetest moments I witness are times when Holden has "daddy time" almost every evening lately Tom has pulled out his guitar and played for Holden...he loves it...now he is trying to play himself:-) I was struck tonight how many sweet moments we have in life, and how many times we forget the one who gives us these sweet moments, and we forget to appreciate them as we focus on what is wrong in our life or the world...
Tonight as I put Holden to sleep I was struck by what a gift each moment Tom and I have together and with our son is...A sweet sweet gift from God...
I am so thankful to God for the moments Tom and I have to steal away and have coffee, or do our beloved bookstore dates (thanks also to grandmere:-))...I am thankful my husband loves to spend time with me...that he listens to every silly thing I say...that he loves that I am crazy...that he makes me coffee and breakfast almost every day;-)
I find it so sweet when Holden smiles and grabs for me when I have been away, whether it be for a minute or for a couple of hours...and the slobbery kisses he loves to give me...the way he will stop nursing and just smile...I even find sweet moments in the night, when we have times for just us...although I wouldn't mind at least one less;-P
Basically tonight I was overcome by how sweet life is when you know God, and you can see His hand in all the great moments, and even amongst the hard moments. When you know they would be that much harder and that much less sweet if we didn't have not just a knowledge of God, but also the relationship that makes all the difference.

So perfectly put!
Great observations. An inspirational blog.
Thanks for the sweet reminder, Anna. I need to remember to be thankful more often and not just stressed out all the time.
I love that last picture of Holden!!
Amen!
