Pumpkin Patch

Tuesday we took the kids to a pumpkin patch after music class...they had fun there were animals to see, flowers to smell, trains to climb on, corn to walk through, and of course pumpkins, or "apples" as Holden called them...
I just love the picture above...Something changes when your child starts walking, they all of the sudden become more independent and so much more like a little person, and no longer a baby...I love to see him toddle around...When he gets excited he gets faster, not quite a run yet but close...They just start to experience everything differently...It is so amazing to watch, and to see his personality come out and develop more and more each day! I am really enjoying this season:-) He is such an awesome gift from the Lord...I never imagined having a child would be like it is...so challenging and so rewarding at the same time...
Here is MJ enjoying the flowers...again its so amazing to watch kids grow...I love seeing her interact with Holden, and how they give love to one another, and play...I love when she runs after him with her high kneed steps, and cries "Holden Thomas, Holden Thomas" sometimes its to keep him from running away, sometimes its to simply give him a hug...I love it!

Don't get me wrong they have their moments...but in general they are better than you could ask for...they share (most of the time) they dance together, etc...
MJ thought the corn was fascinating!
Ironically with all the playing they do we are still having trouble getting decent photos of them together! Oh well! Here's Holden sitting amongst the pumpkins...

What great pictures! I remember the pumpkin patch last year when Holden was still a little baby!
