A local theater was having a performance of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe this weekend, so Saturday we took Holden. He reread the book so it would be fresh and he could compare and contrast the performance with the book:-) I think he has read them all at least 3 times.
Anyway, we invited Beth and Josh and Makenna to join us. So we took the little ones to the grands, and then headed out in the rain to dinner. After dinner we headed to the theater, it was SO fun to watch Holden's excitement, to hear him telling Beth who the characters were and what parts were coming up next. The kids in the performance we extremely talented, and I totally appreciated the "small country theater" feel:-)
Holden thoroughly enjoyed the show and talked on the way home about how the story was different, and why were some of the boy parts played by girls? Why were there more girls in the performance than boys? He thinks maybe someday he could play Peter! SO fun!
