Watch out what you pray for...

So last year we tried to plan a snow but instead we got this ... not exactly what we planned but we really couldn't complain:-) SO this year we did it right...lets plan a trip where people actually ski...so we towards truckee...we found this cabin online and it was perfect! We picked the dates and prayed for snow...hmm...then we looked at the weather as it got closer...a HUGE storm was supposed to come through...oh on the day we were traveling...hmm hopefully the roads stay open! So after much discussion we were on our way Sunday morning...This is what it looked like where we live...

And then we hit this...So for most people used to the snow all of this is probably pretty non eventful...but I am originally from So. Cal. We don't get snow like this...So this was new for me...I am so glad we have four wheel drive and that Tom was driving!

This was our exit look at all that snow! We couldn't check into the house until later so we continued down to Sugarbowl...and had a bite to eat...By the time we were driving back to the house we had a hard time seeing...Holden didn't know what to think about all that snow! I was glad when we arrived...and that we had dinner to prepare at the house so we didn't have to leave...The rest of our trip was sunny and gorgeous...but more on that later...

You could tell we were snow babies when we got a call from the neighbor to tell us our car had slid on the ice into the road...from park, in the driveway...oops! But once we set the brake...and Tom put a little block behind the wheels for assurance we were good to go...

So the point is we prayed for snow and we got it! Almost too much of it!
